Another great thing about Jen being pregant is the random cravings like wanting a cheese burger. Sure I could of picked up a burger at a local joint, however making a cheese burger with horseradish mustard earns kitchen passes!

Let’s cook!

Cheese Burger with Horseradish Mustard

1 pound ground chuck

1 pound ground sirlon

1 onion, sliced

2 tomatoes, sliced

2 tablespoons of your favorite grill season or hamburger spice

1/2 cup Dijon mustard

2 tablespoons prepared horseradish

Preheat your grill on high. In a large bowl combine the ground beef and add your seasoning.

Form the beef into 4 big burgers or into 8 smaller ones. Season with salt and pepper.

Grill for 8 minutes on each side for medium-rare for 4 burger size or cook 4 minutes on the smaller size (I cooked Jen’s longer since medium-rare burgers are discouraged for pregnant women).

For the last two minutes of cooking add the slice cheese to each burger.

Let cook for 1 minute to melt. Remove the burgers from the grill and let rest while you make the horseradish mustard.

In a bowl add horseradish and mustard.

Whisk until blended well.

Time to assemble the burgers. I use the horseradish mustard on both buns and here is the plating with the potato salad.

Here is the whole hamburger:

For those of you that love burgers–this is a MUST. The burgers were very juicy and they certainly made the pregnant woman in my house very happy!

Happy Cooking!
