Mustard-Roasted Tilapia
Posted 04.26.2010 by Thomas in Dinner Time, Recipes,
Hope everyone had a good weekend! Jen and I are now just waiting for Kennedy to decide to make her apperance. There is nothing easier than roasted fish and for this dish I used Tilapia! This dish takes only 15 minutes to make and it’s good enough to serve to guest. If you are a fan of mustard based sauces this post is for you!
Let’s cook!
Mustard-Roasted Fish
2 – 8 or 9 oz tilapia fillets
8 oz sour cream
3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon whole-grain mustard
1 shallot, minced
2 teaspoons drained capers
salt and pepper
Preheat the oven to 425. Place the fish on a ovenproof baking dish. Sprinkle generously with salt and pepper.
Combine the sour cream, two mustards, shallot, capers, salt and pepper in a bowl.
Mix well.
Spoon the sauce evenly over the fish fillets.
Make sure the fish is completely covered.
Bake the fish for 10 – 15 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fish.
The fish will flake easily at the thickest part when it’s done. Be sure not to overcook it. Remove the fish from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes.
Time to plate!
