Green Beans – Side Dish
Posted 04.15.2009 by Thomas in Dinner Time, Recipes,
Tonight we had a some friends over that couldn’t enjoy Easter dinner due to work. So my buddy Robby smoked a turkey that was AWESOME and I made garlic green beans to go with the meal. I made this recipe for 4 people, but if you are just cooking for two, feel free to reduce the amounts by half. Now, cooking sides dishes can get boring so if you are looking for a different way to make green beans, then I will say this is a MUST!
Green Beans

1 package of fresh french style green beans
4 cloves of garlic, chopped
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
2 tablespoons olive oil
salt and pepper to taste
Put a pot of water on high heat and snap the ends of the green beans.

In a bowl, add olive oil and red wine vinegar.

In the same bowl, add garlic with salt and pepper.

Mix well until everything is combined.

Now add the green beans to the pot of water, which should be boiling.

Cook the green beans for 4 minutes (still a little crunchy at this point) and then remove from heat, drain, and add to bowl with sauce and garlic. Mix well and transfer to a serving dish.

Now you have another way to spice up those green beans. So the next time you are asked what, “So what should we have with dinner?” Your new reply is, “I will make awesome green beans!”
Happy Cooking!
