Flatiron Steak with Lemon Herbs
Posted 05.12.2009 by Thomas in Dinner Time, Recipes,
I finally beat Rachel Ray with tonight’s dinner taking less than 30 minutes. Food Network feel free to contact me to appear on a show
Ok so here is the skinny, if you ever wanted to cook a simple meal over a weekday that requires very little to do, here it is! The grilled vegetables are from a past post and the recipe was given to me by my friend Kim Gibbs and it ROCKS! Let’s get to cooking!
Flatiron Steak with Lemon Herbs

1 flatiron steak
1 cup fresh parsley leaves, chopped
1 cup fresh oregano, chopped
1 cup lemon juice
1 cup olive oil
Preheat your grill on high. In a large dish, add olive oil and fresh herbs.

Now add the lemon juice.

Add flatiron steak to the dish.

Flip the steak over and cover with herbs.

Let the steak sit for 5 minutes. Place on the grill.

Jen and I like our steak medium-rare so I cooked the steak for 3 minutes on each side. Remove the steak from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes before you cut. Here is a picture of the steak fresh off the grill.

Here is a close up of the yummy goodness:

Here is the final plate with the steak sliced and the veggies on the side.

I timed this whole meal from prep to start and it took me exactly 20 minutes to make EVERYTHING! As you can tell I am excited about this as I promised myself I would make a tasty meal and beat Rachel Ray. Well, I did it.
Happy Cooking!
