Couples Baby Shower
Posted 03.09.2010 by Thomas in Recipes,
I was a bit concerned about a couples baby shower and really didn’t know what to expect. I am sure some people have bad stories but for my first one, IT WAS FREAKIN AWESOME! Our friends Devin and Brooke hosted the shower.
People are still telling us how much fun they had. Now some of you might remember Brooke from a post I did of her chicken salad which was part of the party Saturday, along with tons of other food and of course my favorite, beer.
Check out this cake!
Check out these cup cakes!
The famous chicken salad:
Pasta which I ate around midnight.
Roasted red pepper dip.
Cheese straws:
Another one of my favorites, prosciutto with aged parmesan cheese.
Time to open the gifts and here is a group shot.
Jen opening socks.
A dress given to Kennedy from her Aunt.
Here is a picture of me getting father advice from my friend Tony (he has a 6 year old daughter and I was hoping he was going to tell me my idea of investing in a shotgun for when she starts dating was a good one–he didn’t).
Jen cutting the cake.
It was a great night and we are VERY blessed to have such great friends. Here is the pictures of Kenndy’s room.
Hard to believe that in 51 days I will be a dad and I am attending a daddy boot camp this Saturday at 9am so wish me luck!
Check back tomorrow for a new recipe and, as always, step by step pictures.
Happy Cooking!

Dearest Jen and Thomas;
This is my favorite post you’ve ever posted on your blog.
I am thrilled to see the ongoing love blossom with the approaching birth.
Kennedy is blessed, as are we all.
You two are going to be most wonderful parents. Mom, I, Ali, and KP cannot wait to meet this wonderful little girl.
What can I say? We are in love.
The cooking husband is about to grow into the cooking Dad.
Love is all you need!
Soon to be Granddaddy mike
