Citrus Grilled Pork Chops
Posted 06.19.2009 by Thomas in Dinner Time, Recipes,
For the final cooking for one entry this week, I decided to grill out pork chops. This is a simple recipe which takes a total of 40 minutes to do. I would of had this post done last night but I ended up working very late, so I am a day late.
Let’s cook!
Citrus Grilled Pork Chops

3/4 cup fresh orange juice
1/2 cup fresh lime juice
1/3 cup chopped fresh oregano leaves
3 cloves garlic, chopped
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 cup canola oil
2 bone in pork chops (1 is for left over lunch)
1/4 cup olive oil
2 tablespoons chopped cliantro
Whisk together 1/2 cup orange juice, 1/4 cup lime juice, 3 tablespoons oregano, the garlic, cumin, and canola oil in a large bowl.

Transfer liquid to a shallow dish and add the pork chop. Coat both sides, cover and let marinate for 15 minutes (this is a good time to pre-heat your grill on high).

Whisk the remaining orange and lime juices, oregano, and the cilantro with the olive oil and salt and pepper, to taste.

Remove the pork chops from the marinade and place on the grill.

Cook on each side for 3 minutes then flip again to cause grill marks. Remove the pork chops and let them rest.

I cooked white rice for the complete meal. Spoon over the chops the sauce and hereĀ is how I did the plating;

Here is a close-up:

This meal is even better the second day which I had for lunch.
Jen is back from her travels but will be gone on Monday again. I am sure from our cookout for my family on Sunday I will have plenty of leftovers. I will have a post on 3 different styles of BBQ sauce which I will make from scratch. Be sure to come back and check it out!
Happy Cooking!
